F.a: Action Plan for implementation of UPR Recommendations
The project content for 2017 will be defined later on; it will be a continuum for 2015-2016. The budget will be allocated from 11591 “Promotion of Global Justice”. The description for 2015-2016: The Overall Objective of the project is to promote and pr otect human rights of Dalit in Nepal. The Specific Objective is to contribute for addressing the key human rights concerns of Dalit through second cycle of Universal Periodic Review (UPR). The specific human rights issues and concerns of Dalit community di scussed and documented through a participatory process with the involvement of more than 200 Dalit organizations representing all five development regions of Nepal. A report on the specific human rights issues and concerns of Dalit will be developed and su bmitted to UPR concerned committee of UN within third week of March 2015. The specific human rights concerns of Dalit advocated and lobbied with the delegates of different countries during UPR of Nepal in October / November 2015.The project will carry out a quick research on the implementation status of UPR recommendations in Nepal, Regional level consultation workshop will be organized at Nepalganj, Chitwan and Itahari, National level consultation workshop will be held at Kathmandu. Advocacy and lobbying w ill be carried out with international governments through embassies in Kathmandu, Advocacy and lobbying will be done to the government of Nepal for recommendation involving media houses. Lobbying to the HRC members and other state representatives during i nteractive dialogue session will be carried out.
