1. Project: 10837 FCA Nepal Country Office (NEPCO)#2. Project area and Country: Nepal#3. Project justification: #In 2018, FCA Nepal country programme will return to promote development cooperation after completing three years (2015-2017) of humanitarian as sistance after the earthquake. FCA will continue to provide Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET) services and effectively link learning to earning, and develop and strengthen village level saving and credits cooperatives to enhance access to finance. FCA will stress on youth mobilization in awareness of development issues and combating caste based discrimination, and building capacity of CBOs in leadership development, organizational management and advocacy towards the local government.#FCAs f ield presence is essential for increased impact and enhanced programme quality. It is in line with FCAs strategy and supports FCAs strategic goals related to programme development and quality, capacity building, advocacy, thematic/technical support, monito ring and diversification of the funding base.#4. The main objective and expected results:#The objective is to improve effectiveness, quality and impact of FCAs Nepal country programme through established field presence. #The expected results are: #- Establ ished a functional working relationship and collaboration with UN agencies, I/NGOs, CBOs and government authorities at district and national level #- New partnership and networking opportunities are created to broadening the funding opportunities #- Effec tive coordination of work and cooperation with other aid organizations #- Capacity of local partners are built for effective and efficient programme implementation #- Strategic and operational planning for the country programme including programme and proj ect PME and administrative support #5.
